My mum owns a husky cross which moults like mad.
Being disabled, she rarely walks the poor thing. Or hoovers.
When the fluff reaches about 1cm thick on all surfaces, she gathers it all up and puts it in a carrier bag. She then uses it to stuff cushions.

What has the dog's disability got to do with your mum's ability to hoover?

While I don't doubt that your old dear loves the dog dearly,
That's quite a beast to keep penned up on the house all day. Lovely dogs though - I'd love one if I wasn't living under a fascist regime vis-a-vis my landlord.

Well it's crossed with something smaller
so it's collie size, but yes... I feel sorry for it. My brother used to walk it every day but she kicked him out before Christmas.
