something similar happened to me when i was a student
used to work in a supermarket and we started noticing an odd smell in the stock room where the fresh produce was kept. it go tworse over a couple of weeks and me and my team leader decided to investigate. we found 5kilos of rotting potatoes that had been out of date for near a year. much vomiting was had. he tried to pull rank and get me to deal with it, so i spewed on his shoes (not necessarily deliberately)
