Dead Rats
They stink.
The soon to be mrs magictorch ran a sports shop and one died in some inaccesable place in the shop itself.

It smelt for months. MONTHS.
had to keep the door open through the end of the summer when the stink started through to November time when it started to get a little chilly.

Horrid it was. And nothing we could do but try not to gag while fitting trainers.

mice on the other hand dont smell when they die, they just.. shrivel

Dead mice stink too
I had one trapped behind the woodwork in my old flat, just by my bed's headboard

Yeah, they stink

There's more meat
on a rat, so they smell more and for longer. Dead mouse smell I can deal with.

Apparently the absolute worst is a cat. I know someone who was unlucky enough to have a stray get into his basement and then shuffle off this mortal coil. Stunk the place out, it did.

yep, dead cats=bad
my days as an electrical apprentice taught me that. Crawling around underneath houses and coming across the 'missing' family kitty was always fun.
