I had a friend many moons ago who having got her Masters in Ancient Historyand looking down the barrel of a PhD worked out the hourly rate if she got a research position with her uni and some tutoring. Then she worked out her hourly rate if she got an "entry-level" job @ MickeyD's.
Suffice to say - free Filet-o-Fishes for me for quite a while.
