This is utterly irrelevant though,If Americans drive cars that use more fuel and that ups their MPG, that's their problem and the can change it. They still pay less per gallon of fuel, and that's the important measure because it's the one the driver has no control over.

Yeah, but it's a smaller gallon!Seriously, the Seppoes have this weird idea that 16 fluid ounces = 1 pint. So eight US pints = .8 UK gallons.
So they pay $6.25 for REAL gallons, as used by MEN. Then they burn it at 25 mpg.
Let's laugh and point at the colonials, kids!
