Well I hope they were getting double the price for their trouble.
Sugar is often "organic" in its production anyway, they were being smart.
It's a good example of the thinking though.

Of course they were.
The 1kg organic stuff cost more than the 2kg of 'normal' stuff.
It wasn't remotely organic of course. The cane is unchecked, it was 100% guaranteed grown using fertilizer.
