The Thin Blue Line.
It's a great comedy starring little known hard man Rowan Atkin- no it's not it's a documentary by Errol Morris.
Basically the crux of the documentary is to do with the case of a convicted cop killer and the search for the truth which inevitably, as always, brought the right man, Randall Adams, to justice. It also includes the story of the later coincidental incarceration of another young fellow, David Harris, who happened to have met Adams on the night of the murder.
Incidentally due to the amazing breadth of detail and investigatory work and sterling interviews involved in finding out what went on from the murder, the investigation, the trial and even some really murky post trial proceedings, this documentary cast so much doubt on the case that convicted Randall Adams he was exonerated and released. It's a good film, in fact it's a film that had an actual affect on the lives it was discussing. And further it has a ripping Phillip Morris soundtrack.
