Ten years later, still cringeworthy....A colleague of mine announced she was newly pregnant. As she worked in our office some 3,000 miles away, I sent her a card wishing her well. In that card, I wrote "I hope my congratulations aren't PREMATURE."
Why I did that, I have no idea. Needless to say, I never heard from her again.
I'm certain I've done far worse, but thankfully I have repressed the memories. Only way to stay sane, really.
