I'm fairly sure that if he hadn't jumped bail and just gone to court and dealt with it like a grown up, he probably would have been released.He thinks he is far more important than he is.

The fact his buddy is locked up - still awaiting a court date..812 days onprobably puts him off the idea of wanting to be caught.. guilty or not.
