Evidence that you're getting oldYouthful as I am, I realised yesterday that I no-longer know, or care, who is #1 in the charts. Furthermore, it takes all day to get rid of a hangover and I now seem to have a profound interest in gardening. Worst is that I now use words like 'furthermore'.

I work in a schoolThe oldest kids were born in 1988. The youngest were born in 1993 (sweet baby jesus!)
The other day one of the younger pupils (cheeky little bastards, the lot of them) was talking to me and my coleagues. She asked us if we were married. We all replied "no". She turned to me and said "you'd better get your skates on, then, you're well past your prime".
I'm 27, for fuck's sake!
