This is a question Getting Old

Drimble asks: When was it last brought home to you just how old you're getting? We last asked this in 2004, and you're eight years older now. Eight. Years.

The three times I went to Glastobury
You could still get in without paying and without running the risk of getting beaten up by some neo-nazi thug patrolling the no-mans land between security fences.

Now I watch it on telly.

The first three times I went that was true also.
The fourth and last time I went in 1999, we went with friends in a camper van, had an awning, cooked breakfast, and kept cold beers and wine, listening to a substantial amount of it on the radio.

I know a stout politically extreme viewed gentlemen who patrolled the no mans land, he once escorted me rather firmly back to the hole in the wall through which i had snuck near what used to be the blue carpark.. It was the last really sunny one in the 90's. must have been 1999. He is a security guard for the last warehouse I worked in, I recognised his crap tattoos when i saw him in the smoking area.
He told me that I should have slipped him a twenty and he would have pointed me to a hole in the inner fence and pissed off in the other direction rather smartly towards the nearest stalag watch tower and divvied up the spoils with the other camp guards. Allegedly most of the security were pulling that scam.
