Unable to hold back the genetic tide, I find myself gardening in my carpet slippers, asking for a knife and fork in McDonalds and agreeing with the Daily Telegraph. I'm beyond help - what about you?
Thanks to b3th for the suggestion

turning into your mother means
varicose veins
huge, comfy knickers
enough tea to float the titanic
shawls
shingles
weird old wives' tales
a sudden liking for lavender
puffy ankles
settling for less
realising that the old things are better.
pissing yourself slightly when you laugh or cough
it sucks.

My mother just took off to Italy for three months. She's moved in with her italian toyboy.
She's quite close to the big five oh.
'Sif settling for less.
