Unable to hold back the genetic tide, I find myself gardening in my carpet slippers, asking for a knife and fork in McDonalds and agreeing with the Daily Telegraph. I'm beyond help - what about you?

I disagree about lyrics that can be understood.
Were that a criterion for a good song, then all songs ought to be translated, which is absurd. There's plenty of good incomprehensible stuff. Moreover, that's often a good thing - being a good songwriter doesn't imply being a good writer. Most lyrics are awful, across the board.
