We had a friend who lived with us for a few months. He came from a part of Uganda where it was not wise to keep a light on at night. Many times I'd walk into a darkened room and not know he was there until he spoke, or on one occasional smiled and opened his eyes.
Scared me rigid.
He wasn't ginger though, thank fuck.
