I nearly became homeless because of henna
I kid you not.
The landlords wife of the house my flat was in used to turn up out of the blue to inspect the place, check out the shared kitchen and bathroom etc.
That morning i had hennaed (SP?) my hair, and wrapped it in an old towel.
That crusty red stained towel was draped over the bath.
She went ballistic, shouted it was disgusting to see that in a bathroom men also use, and the likes of me werent welcome.
I sussed she was thinking it was something else and played the bemused innocent ;)
After a while I said , whats so bad about red hair dye?
You could see the cogs whirring as she realised.
Then she blustered, well its disgusting and flounced out.
I guess she couldnt cope with the idea someone would actually want red hair ;)
