Never done this in as serious a scenario as this, but...As a kid, I couldn't help myself from laughing if my parents accused me of doing something wrong which I hadn't actually done. If I was accused of doing something I was actually guilty of, I was fine; but if I was innocent, I couldn't help but laugh.
Not a useful trait to possess, really.
