I sort of know those people.I work for the parent company of the company who put them there. It's easier for deaf folk to watch them talking BSL than it is to read subtitles in english, or so I'm told. They get right on my tits when you can't switch them off at home though.
Along the lines of the game mentioned, try listening to music (should be something quite lyrical, rap works well but is sometimes too fast) on headphones while watching normal telly, soaps etc. I find it rather amusing to watch Kevin Webster on Coronation St singing to Tyrone about slapping his bitch up.
