Someone I know did something similarThey had some code in a client's public website... something to do with calling SQL database entries via the URL (www.whateverwebsiteitwas.com/file.php?id=12 for example).
If the wrong number was put in, it displayed an error message saying YOU'VE BUGGERED IT UP, YOU KNOB.
This had been sat in the code for about 18 months until a shocked customer found it and pointed it out. God only knows how many other people had seen it and took their business elsewhere.
