I once managed to convince a colleague that lions, tigers, leopards etc were in fact about the same size as ordinary domestic house cats...He wasn't going to fall for it but I convinced him with the masterstroke of telling him that my cat (which he'd seen photos of) was particularly small and that most domestic cats were much stockier, and that "big cats" weren't in fact bigger, just stockier still.
As far as I know, he still believes that. I've never put him right, and I don't work there any more =)
