In my own house I sleep with the bedroom door openSo that any burglars downstairs will wake me up and I can get all Tony Martin on their asses.
But when I stay at my mum's in the room I had as a teenager (though they've completely redecorated it so it's not "my" room any more) I have to sleep with the door closed. Probably a handover from not wanting to get caught wanking, or something.
