when you say "scored" do you mean "applied for in the usual manner like everybody else"?

Well, getting tickets to the ISHIAC Christmas when fairly sure Humph was on his last legs I considered
a score. Especially when I sold them on a "well known internet auction site"

Sarcasm was the intended tone of "scored".
I think they were ushering people in off the streets to fill the seats at this show.
