This is a question IT Support

Our IT support guy has been in the job since 1979, and never misses an opportunity to pick up a mouse and say "Hello computer" into it, Star Trek-style. Tell us your tales from the IT support cupboard, either from within or without.

Don't blame EDS.
It's the stupid twunts in your IT deparment who signed the contract and allowed them to get away with infrequent and user driven updates. I worked for EDS and the number of times we tried to upgrade stuff only to be told "The customer doesn't want to upgrade." The customer might not but sure as hell their users do.

^this
No problem sharing files between a bunch of Win2K PCs at home, got an XP machine as well (only because the video editing software won't run on anything else), any file transfers involving it end up being done at the XP end because XP file & print sharing is so hit-and-miss. From what I can tell files are either shared to nobody, or to the whole world and his fucking dog. Win2K, a c$ share and an Admin password and you're away, every single time.
