This is a question IT Support

Our IT support guy has been in the job since 1979, and never misses an opportunity to pick up a mouse and say "Hello computer" into it, Star Trek-style. Tell us your tales from the IT support cupboard, either from within or without.

I love high res
I run my very elderly 19" iiyama (over 10 years old now) at 1600x1200. Most people comment they can't read things on the screen or "how can you read that". I then show them the zoom function in word etc. Although nower days it is my second monitor which is great for movies and tv.

My cousin had a desktop and i showed her that she could increase the res and it would in fact be better as she could see more on it. She didn't like it and being the slight control freak changed it to a middle setting which was for a wide screen, looked soo stupid. My uncle did point a) it was her puter and b) she could be a stroopy little madame. I was also banned from her puter for being childish, e.g. msg'in her msn contacts and saying "I smell" or "you smell". One girl responded in such bad English that I pointed out I couldn't understand her and thus she negated the very function of communications as a basic principle was making your self understood. She said "i don't care i know what i am saying" the kids of today. Although i am both dyslexic and lazy so much of what I type makes no sense half the time.
