This is a question IT Support

Our IT support guy has been in the job since 1979, and never misses an opportunity to pick up a mouse and say "Hello computer" into it, Star Trek-style. Tell us your tales from the IT support cupboard, either from within or without.

Autocomplete and user assist history

...are best disabled if you're finishing up your teacher training, are on placement in a primary school, and have a laptop filled with neatly-categorized and extremely deviant porn.

For if your friendly techie starts typing something in the 'run' box, and it autocompletes to a directory devoted to people raping dogs, you may find yourself kicked in the nuts, kicked off your course, and wondering what to try for your next career.

(nb: I was the techie, not the student teacher)

Sheesh
He got kicked out of his job for looking at porn on his personal computer, not during school hours?

not really
he got kicked out partly for having a very large stash of utter filth - actually categorised into various layers of deviance. It was the orderly nature of his perversions that was one of the most worrything things about him.

Had he just owned it and viewed it at home, he wouldn't have been noticed. As it was, he got kicked out for bringing said stash into a primary school. If someone had wandered in, opened their briefcase, and a load of grot fell out - I imagine the same thing would happen. As a teacher, you have a reduced right to a private life. You can't be in to fetishes which involve the abuse of power. You're alone with other people's kids, and have to be beyond reproach.

Plus, a whole directory devoted to people raping dogs is not amused curiosity - it's sick. I've no sympathy for the ropey little cunt at all.
