I did similar.However, I wasn't trying to see how it felt. I wondered what woukd happen if I held a bit of kitchen foil "in the spark". What happens is the spark stops at the foil and your arm muscles tense briefly as pain registers in your fingertips.
Didn't stop me playing with the pizo ignitors from lighter though.
