Home and Awaykendoddsdadsdogsdead has worked out why Coronation St is so named. This idea of naming a programme about its main location, or theme, clearly also applies to soaps such as Eastenders, Brookside, Neighbours, Crossroads and even the late (un)lamented Albion Market.
But Home and Away? WTF? Nothing to do with football or going on holiday or anything, so where the hell did that name come from?
