about 3 months ago when my old one broke. walked in to currys planning to buy something reasonable, something that'll 'do the job', but ended up walking out with a big fuck off 32'' HDTV complete with stand and with all the relvant bells on.
now all i have to do is figure out how i'm going to pay for the fucker (buy now pay in a year type jobby)

Not trying to compete
But me and the mrs did that virtually a year ago to the day, Currys 40" 1080p Tosh £900 inc warranty.
Apart from the actual part of handing over the money 12mths later, I got more upset seeing that the equivalent model is now only £500!

lies
you're just trying to compete :P
considered getting a bigger than 32'' tv but decided it would look ridiculous in my room. was down with the 1080p business though.
made all sorts of grand plans when i bought it that i'd open up a separate bank account and put £40 a month in to pay for the telly etc. 3 months later and i still haven't. i can just see myself shitting myself on the 11th month and selling my own mother or something to pay for it.
