Deep Purpleis my boyfriend's mother's favourite band, by far. So I laughed happily when she came online and was chatting with my boyfriend under the MSN screenname "i love dp".
Of course, my boyfriend had to tell her that I was laughing at her screenname, and why. But I like to think we all got a laugh out of it. Particularly me.

It may well be the caseperhaps this whole "Deep Purple" loving facade is due to the one time her son caught her online with a screenname she didn't want him to see, and she came up with a quick excuse. I'll stop giving her Deep Purple DVDs for Christmas and switch to the other DP DVDs, I think. ;)
