I had a similar one ...metal frame sofa bed....by no means a small or lightweight item. I usually go with the first person to reply over any of the sob stories that I've been sent and the first person was happy to come and pick up next day. She then asked the classic question will it fit in a Ka! The first person who said they had a van and and help to move it got it.
I'm not sure of the logic of the sob story people, one claimed to have not had a bed for over a year so surely they would have been better off looking for some extra work so they could buy a bed rather than trawling freecycle endlessly?
