I once met somebody from the internet without knowing it until some time into our conversationat my ex-girlfriend's birthday party. She introduced me to a bunch of her friends and it was only on the train back to the city that me and one of them worked out that we'd actually met several years back in a Fandom-related RPG in which she played a Harry Potter character and I played one from Good Omens. Good times, good times.
