CentipedesUgh! They just make me squirm!
My housemate last year had to close the curtains in the sitting room as soon as it started to get dark, because people could "see in". I don't know why. It's when he also started doing the same with the kitchen curtains that it really worried me, because it only looked out onto the back yard... strange chap.
Oh and obviously toilets flushing were scary as a child. The noise of the cistern refilling is actually all the snakes inside, you see... and they'll come out if you get too close!
