arrrrgI hate Hate HATE velvet! Can't have it in the room with me, can't look at it, can't see other people wearing it I HATE IT. Had to accompany new g/f to formal recently only to realise in cloakroom she had a VELVET DRESS under her coat. I had a major attack of the horrorrs, he-be-je-bes, the shudders you name it. and refused to come within 10 feet of her the whole night. boy was she pissed off with me.
Also cotton wool, i shudder at the thought of velvet textured cotton wool, death is infinitely preferable...
