This doesget me "slightly annoyed" when I hear it. Not a smuch as when I hear people call bats "flying rodents". This actually does make me interrupt whatever the hell they're talking about and spend several minutes instructing them on the correct usage of the word. Also tossers who say "Hampster" when they mean "Hamster".
