Pretty much the same in the UKWe get that over here, but it's generally restricted to furniture stores. Constant 'Sale ends this Friday!' ads, for sales which never actually end. Actually, I think it's toned down now to an extent that furniture store ads will now just use a popular song from either the last few years or the 80s to the extent that you will feel sick if you ever hear that song again.
By far the worst offender though are the Safestyle Windows advertisements, a loud mouthed twunt screaming 'You buy one you get one free', or more accurately 'YA BAA WUN YA GET WUN FREE!'.
