I spent a great amount of money on an operation to have my eyes lasered precisely so I don't have to wear glasses. People who wear frames because they think they're trendy should be forced to have the reverse operation, leaving them myopic for life.

I was going to have that done as it's currently half-price
but when I read around it a bit I found that it doesn't seem to last very long and carries scary side effects. Didn't seem worth the risk.

Though if you have to spend money on glasses or contact lenses it evens out over time - the missus is currently considering it and she'll have made her money back in seven-and-a-bit years of not wearing contacts. (She's an accountant and she enjoys working this sort of stuff out)
