Oh, well. Since you mentioned grammar pedantry...The error you highlight is one of spelling, not grammar. The second sentence, though, does contain a massive grammatical howler, inasmuch as that it seems to have two subjects.

EDIT: OK, it might be a syntactic problem rather than a grammatical one. Harumph. Meh.
