the tipping point here is easy.Whether it is a genuinely annoying facet of everyday life that comes from laziness or ignorance of basic education (txtspeak, apostrophes) or whether it's some pedant decrying the (incorrect or not) misuse of a fairly obscure word in a pointless attempt to seem more intelligent.
