"Needless to say, I had the last laugh"
Celebrity autobiographies are filled to the brim with self-righteous tales of smug oneupmanship. So, forget you had any shame, grab a coffee and a croissant, and tell us your smug tales of when you got one over somebody.
Thanks to Ring of Fire for the suggestion

The thing is....
Just because it's a story told elsewhere does not mean it is not true. Many people who otherwise wouldn't have thought to do that will have done so because they heard it, and many people even who had not are not stupid enough to never think of it at all and so will have done it too.
If I was mightily pissed off (and I mean mightily like I have never been yet) I would probably do it.

Petty revenge on exes never strike me as having the last laugh, because if I discovered an ex of mine had done something like that, I would probably have a moment of being pissed off, and then reflect on how lucky I was to no longer be associated with such a twat.

Yup, it's better to do nothing while you wait for them to drop themselves in it.
They always do. Mine did, big-time.
