Letters they'll never read
"Apologies, anger, declarations of love, things you want to say to people, but can't or didn't get the chance to." Suggestion via reducedfatLOLcat.

Hello people at Next Directory.
Do you know who is not going to read the letter that you sent?
The person who used to live in my flat who you wrote to today confirming that you had changed their delivery address and would no longer write to them here.
Here's a hint. If someone changes there address, probably a good idea to write to them at the one they changed it too, not from.
Also, thanks for the jumper.

Standard Procedure
They do it incase some dodgy type has got hold of their account details and changed the address without your knowledge.
Banks should do it to, that way if you get a letter saying your address has changed you can contact them before to much damage is done.

They have to do that
It's to make sure that it's a genuine request as if it wasn't the actual account holder would be alerted when they got a change of address confirmation through that they never requested. At the place they are still living.
