Pathological Liars
Friz writes, "I recently busted my mate who claimed to have 'supported the Kaiser Chiefs in 2001' by gently mentioning that they weren't even called that back then."
Some people seem to lead complete fantasy lives with lies stacked on lies stacked on more lies. Tell us about the ones you've met.
BTW, if any of you want to admit to making up all your QOTW stories, now would be a good time to do it.

I worked with one of those
Her schtick was hearing some story on the car radio on her way to work and then placing herself in the story somehow.
Road accidents nearly always had her as a witness - no matter how far off her usual route or hour of the day.
If there was a member of the public, on a phone-in show for example, she'd either claim to know/be related to the person or else claim the story as her own. "I was once mugged by a bloke dressed as Santa Claus." Really? I heard about a case the other day where that happened to someone. "Well, in my case he tried to knife me." Oh, you heard about the more recent case then? "No."
