Lies Your Parents Told YouI once overheard a neighbour use the phrase "nig nog". I asked my father what it meant. As quick as a flash he said, "It's a type of biscuit. A bit like a hobnob." almost the truthWe had a dog once that went crazy after being fixed (because of too much knockout gas) and my parents told my younger sister that she ran away. all was well until my older sister mentioned how they found poor Sadie (the dog) in a garbage bag at the side of the road after someone shot her. Needless to say, my sister cried for a very long time.
my parents also told us dad hit us because he loved us and didn't know how to show it. nice.
