Losing it

You're probably just worrying too much
Imagination can be a bastard once you start worrying.
Vivid dreams and memory disorientation can be a symptom of normal, common or garden stress.
But, if you are a weed smoker, now might be the time to quit. That's not me being judgemental btw, I used to get the same noise phenomena you described - a couple of months off the weed sorted it out though.

Don't smoke weed
Or do any other drugs, once I nearly lost it on Mushrooms, but that was 10 years ago now, never touched them or anything else since.
Thing is I don't get stressed or worried, I just generally breeze through life with a smile on my face. A bit OCD at times but nothing that inhibits my daily life.
I love my imagination and my crazy dreams, I just sometimes lie in bed drifting off to sleep when I wake myself up with an imaginary noise. Or sounds distort themselves into words.
