This is a question Midlife Crisis

I've hit my forties, and my midlife crisis has manifested itself in old band T-shirts and a desire to go on camper van holidays. How has it hit you, or - if you are still a youngling - your elders?

Mr Quar was a bit of a dirty biker in his distant youth and now and then he talks longingly of buying a nice big noisy Kawasaki or something.
I just laugh. Where'd he put his golf clubs?

Hmm.
Does buying a motorbike count then?

Ooops.

You have to ride it
and also buy loads of accessories.

My brother got it all out of his system a few years back with a Gold Wing, before hitting 50.

Funnily enough, as a young bloke he'd been a big Mod with a parka and a scooter and everything. I suppose he'd have felt a twit with that look in his 40s.

Because a Gold Wing in no way looks ridiculous
especially one carrying a bloke in his forties trying to live out some fantasy of cruising the open road - in Britain.

I bought one of these, and I've done 15,000 miles on it
since 2010.

Bet your arse gets sore.
Just saying.

Motorbike
I had 3 bikes when I was 19. I sold the first voluntarily, the second when I got married and the third when the first child arrived.

I turned 50 last year and bought a nice big and noisy Triumph.

Best thing I ever did.
