As I read this
I thought that you were going to conclude with a sumptuous belittling of the chap for the general illiteracy of the menu.
Then I saw how you'd spelt the name of the establishment, and felt as smug as you could have.

He felt it worthy of correction.
...and he asked a grownup how to spell 'pretentious' - though my intention was more to be pedantic rather than pretentious at that juncture. However, I fair enjoyed being a pretentious prick and may have found a new pastime. I thank you.
