This week Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeons and Dragons, died. A whole generation of pasty dice-obsessed nerds owes him big time. Me included.
So, in his honour, how nerdy were you? Are you still sunlight-averse? What are the sad little things you do that nobody else understands?
As an example, a B3ta regular who shall remain nameless told us, "I spent an entire school summer holiday getting my BBC Model B computer to produce filthy stories from an extensive database of names, nouns, adjectives, stock phrases and deviant sexual practices. It revolutionised the porn magazine dirty letter writing industry for ever.
Revel in your own nerdiness.

You know Spock's trademark hand gesture, making a V with his hand? I've been known to hold my middle and ring fingers together and my thumb and forefinger together, and spread my little finger and the index and middle fingers- in other words, the reverse of Spock's gesture.
The meaning? Die young and destitute.
Very few get it.

Would it not be more correct simply to do the 'Spock sign' reversed, with your hand facing the opposite way? Like how the 'peace sign' becomes 'fuck off you Frenchies' the other way round? What you're doing there sounds like a west coast gang signal.
In other news, my dad looked so like Leonard Nimoy when he first moved to England in the late 60s that he was introduced to my mother as 'Spocky'. He not only looks like him, he sounds just like him and is a scientist - and used to give classes in logic (captain).
