How nerdy are you?
This week Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeons and Dragons, died. A whole generation of pasty dice-obsessed nerds owes him big time. Me included.
So, in his honour, how nerdy were you? Are you still sunlight-averse? What are the sad little things you do that nobody else understands?
As an example, a B3ta regular who shall remain nameless told us, "I spent an entire school summer holiday getting my BBC Model B computer to produce filthy stories from an extensive database of names, nouns, adjectives, stock phrases and deviant sexual practices. It revolutionised the porn magazine dirty letter writing industry for ever.
Revel in your own nerdiness.

Get The Boot.
.
My laptop triple boots into Linux, XP and VISTA. It also has MS Virtual PC installed where I can boot 8 different versions of XP, all configured for certain scenarios.
My MAC boots into Leopard (when it fucking works) and then I have VIRTUAL BOX running which lets me load 4 different MS servers.
On my key-ring are three USB sticks. One is a boot Linux image which allows me to reset Windows passwords. One is an XP boot image and the other is a collection of tools and utilities including Virtual Machine images for another 5 OS's.
I use these on a regular basis.
Cheers

My PC triple boots Vista (64), XP (32) and Debian (64).
My iMac triple boots Tiger, Classic and Debian.
My SGI Octane dual boots IRIX and Debian. (Took much fiddling that did.)
My Sun Ultra 5 dual boots Solaris and Ubuntu.
I rarely do anything with those three though. It's mainly for the geek value.

Having the USB sticks on a key-ring can be dodgy though..
...especially when its plugged into the office hard drive on the floor. Cue friendly oh-so-helpful office cleaner/co-worker "Oh you dropped your keys" (Goes to pick up said keys)
"FU-- NO!! LEAVE IT--"
I buy these on a regular basis.
