This is a question How nerdy are you?

This week Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeons and Dragons, died. A whole generation of pasty dice-obsessed nerds owes him big time. Me included.

So, in his honour, how nerdy were you? Are you still sunlight-averse? What are the sad little things you do that nobody else understands?

As an example, a B3ta regular who shall remain nameless told us, "I spent an entire school summer holiday getting my BBC Model B computer to produce filthy stories from an extensive database of names, nouns, adjectives, stock phrases and deviant sexual practices. It revolutionised the porn magazine dirty letter writing industry for ever.

Revel in your own nerdiness.

I have to on numerous occasions...
...have to stop myself from audibly saying "lol". It's also the same with abbreviated type too, ROFL, LMAO and WOW to name but a few.

Wrt WoW btw p;

Got me 1st 70 last week.
Running a guild.
Me daughter's 1st birthday today.
Wondering how to fit in enough PVP to get me 5th Gladiator Welfare drop (Gladiator Plate Shoulders if anyone's wondering) whilst celebrating my daughter's birth anniversary.

I also know how to play Yugioh!, which should not be allowed, and can finish Street Fighter 2 Turbo on level 8 with the SNES pad behind my back.

The only thing that stops me being 100% nerd is the fact that I'm normally drunk while performing all of the above. I guess the alcohol makes the nerd escape. Kind of a Jeckyll and Hyde, but sponsored by Carling.

PS that QOTW example has to be Frankspencer :D

Oh God!
Everyone keeps mentioning WoW recently! I weaned myself off it after getting into a end-game raiding guild and realising that getting my tier 2 warrior armour set had become more important than finding a girlfriend. Then they go and release Burning Crusade, but I decide I don't like the alliance any more, so dump my poor warrior for an undead rogue and spend a good few months getting him to lvl 55 before I remember there are things like nightclubs and music and regular meal/bedtimes and go cold turkey. I've been clean for 6 months. Now all I wanna do is go to Warsong Gulch. ARGH!
