How nerdy are you?This week Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeons and Dragons, died. A whole generation of pasty dice-obsessed nerds owes him big time. Me included.
So, in his honour, how nerdy were you? Are you still sunlight-averse? What are the sad little things you do that nobody else understands?
As an example, a B3ta regular who shall remain nameless told us, "I spent an entire school summer holiday getting my BBC Model B computer to produce filthy stories from an extensive database of names, nouns, adjectives, stock phrases and deviant sexual practices. It revolutionised the porn magazine dirty letter writing industry for ever.

Now *that's* good.I laughed a lot at this- not from how geeky you are, but how close to home that is with me. I've been known to use the TV remote as a phaser, to the embarrassment of my kids.
Only tangentially related: the pagers at one of the local restaurants look like TV remotes. Recently my daughter and I were there and I commented on this to her. I then gestured to a rather obnoxious and overweight girl in very tight clothing and said to my daughter, "I wonder- if I decrease her volume, will she get thinner or shut up?" and made as though pressing buttons on the remote.
My daughter was both amused and annoyed with me...
