How nerdy are you?
This week Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeons and Dragons, died. A whole generation of pasty dice-obsessed nerds owes him big time. Me included.
So, in his honour, how nerdy were you? Are you still sunlight-averse? What are the sad little things you do that nobody else understands?
As an example, a B3ta regular who shall remain nameless told us, "I spent an entire school summer holiday getting my BBC Model B computer to produce filthy stories from an extensive database of names, nouns, adjectives, stock phrases and deviant sexual practices. It revolutionised the porn magazine dirty letter writing industry for ever.
Revel in your own nerdiness.

Shhh! They'll hear you!
The key is to NOT let them know that we geeks are secretly running their lives! If they're aware that we're having better lives than they are without having broken bones while chasing a ball around a field, they'll stop being our drones! I mean, do you want to be the one changing tires for a living? Or, for that matter, selling carpet and vinyl floor covering?
The fact is, we are different- we work with our brains and see parts of existence that they'll never understand, let alone grasp. Why be angry at these pitiable grunts? They can laugh at me if they want- idiots always laugh at what they don't understand. What they don't grasp is that I'm laughing right back at them...
