How nerdy are you?
This week Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeons and Dragons, died. A whole generation of pasty dice-obsessed nerds owes him big time. Me included.
So, in his honour, how nerdy were you? Are you still sunlight-averse? What are the sad little things you do that nobody else understands?
As an example, a B3ta regular who shall remain nameless told us, "I spent an entire school summer holiday getting my BBC Model B computer to produce filthy stories from an extensive database of names, nouns, adjectives, stock phrases and deviant sexual practices. It revolutionised the porn magazine dirty letter writing industry for ever.
Revel in your own nerdiness.

Dungeons and Dragons
Every weekend my husband plays D&D and it's myriad forms (Aberrant, Exalted, Shadowrun, Adventure!, Ravenloft, etc.) for at least sixteen hours. In his spare time he writes on the online boards for said games, correcting others with his superior knowledge of the rules. The entire trunk and backseat of his car are filled with gaming books and figurines and well as a shelf in our house. We have two DVD cases full of manga and anime. He has encyclopedic knowledge of Marvel Comic plotlines. In his spare time he plays video games and discusses them with his friends. Despite all this he is incredibly charismatic, good looking and gets laid on a regular basis.
Is he still a gamer geek? Yes.
If for only these reasons: His band on "Rockband" is called "The Dungeon Crashers," his avatar wears bone armor and he yells "CRIT!" whenever he gets to the yellow "yell something" bar.
